A ST. James woman is the lucky winner of the 2001 Goodyear Tyres for Life competition conducted by Courtesy Garage.
Judy McComie of Clermont, St. James, emerged as the winner when her entry was drawn from thousands submitted during the recent island-wide competition.
As her prize, Ms McComie will receive four tyres for her car for the rest of her life. The prize is not transferable and tyres will be given every two years.
During the contest, customers purchasing new tyres were asked to simply name the three locations in Barbados where Goodyear tyres are available.
Manager of the tyre department of Courtesy Garage, Michael Best said the response was impressive and it was further testimony to the fact that Goodyear Tyres were trustworthy.
He said the Goodyear GPS-2 tyres were popular with motorists as they were specially developed for the Caribbean and Latin America.
Courtesy has been the agents for Goodyear Tyres for more than 25 years and some 24 different types of tyres are available in Barbados
